Insights 22
9 - 20 MAY 2022

Thank You

Who can apply for tickets?

Insights22 Festival events are open to all staff and volunteers who work for, and alongside HM Prison and Probation Service. That includes our partners in the wider Ministry of Justice, and colleagues working in the voluntary, private and statutory sector. You will see that some of our events have restricted audiences due to security and confidentiality reasons. This will be clearly noted in the event description.

UPDATE: We are pleased to announce that we are opening up our (unrestricted) online events to criminal justice students!! We hope you will join us to see the great work going on in this field.

All applicants are required to provide their work or university email address on registration. Please do not be offended if we need to contact you to verify our details. Some events have additional security requirements. These will be confirmed to you directly by the host of the event after you have registered for a ticket.

How much do tickets cost?

All Insights events are free to attend. However, you will need to claim travel and subsistence costs from your home department/organisation. Please seek any necessary approvals to do this before attending an event.

How are tickets allocated?

Most of our events are ‘first come, first served’, so once you have booked your ticket, that’s it – you’re going! To make it fair for everyone, please only book a ticket if you know that you can attend. If the event sells out, you will be added to a waiting list and will be notified when a space becomes available. For our VIP and more sought after opportunities, your name will be entered into a draw and the lucky winners will be notified by 22nd April 2022. Please only register once per event - duplicate entries will be deleted.

How do I find an event?

There are several ways to find the perfect event or opportunity for you...

To get the best out of our search/filter feature don't forget to click on 'Clear Filters' before starting a new search.

Search by keyword:

If you know a particular event is taking place and you want to find it quick, you can put keywords in the search bar to find it. On mobiles click on the magnifying glass icon.

Filter by region or online platform:

See at a glance what in-person events are going on in your area. Don’t forget that many of our events are taking place online this year so be sure to take a look at those too. You will see that some opportunities are categorised as ‘Venue to be arranged/Flexible’ – these usually refer to our more exclusive events where the exact location will be arranged directly with the lucky ticket holders. On mobiles click on the filter icon to the right of the magnifying glass.

Filter by event category:

Most events are listed under several categories. Use these filters to find the events that most interest you. Use the ‘VIP’ category to find the extra special opportunities. On mobiles click on the filter icon to the right of the magnifying glass.

Filter by date:

We wouldn't recommend that you do this as there are so many events each day - but you can if you really want to! Please note that some events are taking place outside of the Festival period. Where the events are advertised as taking place for the full two weeks (9-20 May), this means that the exact date hasn't been fixed yet and will be arranged directly with the ticket holders.

When do tickets close?

VIP opportunities: 19th April 2022 (TICKETS NOW CLOSED)

Group in-person events: 22nd April 2022

Online events: Two days before the event.

Please note that some events have earlier closing dates. Please check individual events for details.

Will online events be recorded?

Many of our online events will be recorded and will be available to watch on the website after the Festival.

What if I can’t attend?

Many of our events are likely to sell out quickly. To give everyone the best chance of attending their preferred event, please let us know ASAP if you can no longer attend by emailing [email protected] or clicking ‘contact event organiser’ in the ticket confirmation email.

How can I promote Insights22?

Please spread the word using your usual communication channels and encourage people to sign up for events.

Download our posters (A3 Version | A4 Version) and put them up around offices.

Use social media to let people know about the events you are attending. Use the hashtag #insights22 and tag @hmppsinsights in your posts on Twitter.
